Customize your Undo/Redo Options
You can customize the undo and redo commands in Paint Shop Pro. Click on File > Preferences > General > Program Preferences > Undo/Redo. Configure the way Paint Shop Pro should handle undo and redo information. Click OK to save the setting and cline the dialog box.

Customize Toolbar
If your toolbar is too cluttered, you can customize it to show fewer items. For example, you can get rid of New, Open, Save, Print, Cut, Cope, Paste, etc. and use their shortcuts instead. To customize the toolbar, click on View > Toolbars. Select the toolbar you wish to modify and click on Customize.

Adding Watermarks
To create a watermark, add a new layer to an existing image. Add text or an image into the layer. On the Layer palette, turn down the later opacity slider until the image looks like a watermark!

Curve Your Text
To curve text with Paint Shop Pro, start by selecting the Draw tool. On the tools Options palette, choose Bezier Curve as the line style from the Type drop-down list. Enable the Antialias and Create as vector boxes and draw a curve. Select the Text tool and position the cursor on the line. On the Text Entry dialog box, select Vector and Antialias and type text. Remove the line by hiding it from the Layer palette.

Thumbnail views
It can be very useful to keep a thumbnail view of the image as you work on it. this is particularly helpful when you are zoomed in on the image. Though Paint Shop Pro does not directly support this, it can be simulated. Open a copy of image by clicking on Window > New Window. Zoom out on this until it is small enough to be unobtrusive.

Paste Without a Background
When copying a selection and paste it onto another image, you can paste it without its background. Set the current background color to the color that you want to remove as you paste. Click on Edit > Paste > As Transparent Selection. The image minus the background color will be pasted

Paste to Size
If you have to paste an image into a part of another image, select the area in the target image and click on Edit > Paste > Into Selection. You can also paste into an irregularly shaped selection.

Make Multiple Selections
You can add and area to the current selection by holding the Shift key as you select a new area. To deselect a part of a selection, help the Ctrl key as you select an area. Using this, you can multiple selection tools to build a complex selection.

Set a Transparent Color
When you are creating a GIF image, you can specify one color to be transparent. Once you finish working on the image, decrease the colors to 256 from Colors > Decrease Color Depth ? 256 Colors. Using the Dropper tool, right-click the color you want to make transparent to set it as a background color, Click on Colors > Set Palette Transparency and select Set the transparency value to the current background color.
